All schools in Angus will be closed for a second day running while the local authority puts in place educational hubs for key workers.
The council said its buildings will remain shut on Wednesday having closed on Tuesday.
It added that due to the “extremely high demand” for childcare from local key workers, places for Category 1 workers will be allocated in the first instance.
These parents will receive confirmation of their place at some point on Wednesday.
The council will provide childcare at specific hubs from Thursday once the measures have been completed.
The model will see teachers and support staff continue to look after vulnerable children and young people, as well as children of key workers.
Dundee City Council has put in place special arrangements in all schools and nurseries for the same children.
The plan means all of these buildings in the city are open until Friday.
The council is also still offering free school meals to pupils who are entitled to them, however, families are required to visit their school to collect.
These can be collected between noon and 1.45pm until Friday. Alternative arrangements are being made for after the Easter break.
