The family of a Dundee man missing for 10 days have issued an emotional plea for him to come home. Allan Smeaton was last seen in Whitfield at 3am on Saturday, March 28. Police have been scouring the local area in a bid to trace the 49-year-old, with a helicopter drafted in to assist officers last week. On Monday, Mr Smeaton’s family issued a plea for him to come home. A statement released through Tayside Police Division reads: “Allan, if you are reading this we need you to come home. “Everyone is missing you. We need to know that you are safe and well. “Please make contact with us or the police. You’re not in any trouble and we just want to know that you’re safe.” Mr Smeaton is described as 5ft 7in, slim, and with short grey-white hair. When last seen he was wearing a beige fleece, blue hoodie, blue jeans and light blue trainers. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is being asked to contact police on 101 quoting the reference number 2990 of March 28.
