A Fife businessman who had to close his new shop just two weeks after taking on the lease has used the empty premises to display children’s rainbow drawings.
Robert Kinnes, who owns Kinnes Construction, planned to open a joinery and kitchen showroom in Newburgh, just off the A913, some time in April.
However, the lockdown forced him to put his plans on hold for the time being.
He then put a shout-out on social media, asking people to put their children’s drawings honouring key workers through the letterbox of his premises during their daily walk.
Robert said: “I wanted to do something positive.
“I’ve had a huge response, the whole window is now covered with drawings – I’ve been overwhelmed by the feedback.
“I have been leaving the shop window lights on during the night for key workers so they can see the artwork.
“I still plan to open the business after the lockdown is over and I’ll have to think what to do with the drawings – I might have them framed or use them for a pattern for bespoke curtains.”
