Claire Hermon gave herself a number one cut in memory of a friend, Kate Shepherd, who died from ovarian cancer in 2018. Her brunette locks will now be donated to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. Claire, a mum of three, was inspired to brave the shave after Kate’s partner Katie Mcalinden joked that she should give herself a “corona cut”. The pair decided to turn it into a fundraising exercise and have raised £1,880 for Target Ovarian Cancer.
