A Dundee-based hair and makeup artist is amongst Courier Country winners celebrating socially-distanced wins at the first ever Scottish Make-Up Awards.
Sandra Cormack, who is on her 12th year of business but currently unable to work due to lockdown restrictions, won the ‘Bridal Makeup Specialist of the Year’ category, alongside a number of other Tayside and Fife winners.
As well as being a makeup artist, Sandra has also styled hair for many years and works in all fields of hair and makeup from fashion, film, TV, theatre, music to live and corporate events.
She has also worked with several celebrities including Michael Parkinson, Arlene Phillips CBE, Kirsty Wark, Edith Bowman, Victoria Derbyshire and Rupi Kaur.
Sandra said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive another award as voted for by my amazing clients. It means a lot and I would like to give a massive thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to all fellow finalists and winners.”
The winners of the first Scottish Make Up Awards were chosen by members of the public and are described by organisers as a “true reflection of the talent, creativity and impeccable customer service that flow within the profession- three key features that enhance the reputation of the Scottish make-up industry nationally.”
Several of the awards, voted on by proxy, were split into regions to ensure the diverse establishments from across the country are recognised for their exceptional work.
