A woman was raped before being found walking the streets of Dundee wrapped in a duvet.
Police found the 20-year-old in extreme distress on Kirk Street in Lochee at around 11.50pm on Saturday after receiving a call from a member of the public.
The incident was initially treated as concern for a person but after speaking to the woman, officers realised she had been seriously sexually assaulted.
Kirk Street connects South Road with the multis at Elders Court and continues into an industrial area including Nappers Mews industrial estate.
Detective Inspector Marc Lorente, of Dundee CID, said: “The woman would’ve been very distinctive as she was wrapped in a duvet with a strong Liverpool accent and clearly very distressed just before midnight on Saturday.
“We’re trying to establish the full circumstances so we’re appealing to anyone who has any information or saw anything suspicious in the Kirk Street area around that time to contact us.”
