Crews received a call from the Coastguard at 1.40pm and travelled to sandy islet Lucky Scalp near Tayport, where the dog was believed to be located. On arrival the dog ran away from the crew but was located by its owner shortly after. The lifeboat crew returned to the station in the Ferry within an hour after making sure both owner and pet were safe and well. It is the latest in a spate of recent call-outs for the lifeboat crews.
