Work has started to transform a former Dundee primary school into housing.
Builders have cut the first turf on the grounds of the former Charleston Primary School, which closed in 2013.
Abertay Housing Association will provide 43 affordable homes at the Dunholm Place site, in a mixture of terraced, semi-detached and detached two-storey buildings.
Several wheelchair accessible dwellings have been included in the development, to be built by Bancon Construction.
The association has previously pledged that the homes will be energy efficient, warm and low maintenance.
Gavin Currie, managing director of Bancon Construction, said: “Affordable housing is critical to the Scottish Government’s 2021 ambitions of delivering at least 50,000 new homes and we are both honoured and excited to be working in partnership with Abertay Housing Association on this project.
“We have considerable experience in the residential market and our team is very much looking forward to getting started on site to deliver quality homes for the local community.”
