Police are hunting a masked man who hauled a woman to the ground before kicking her in a failed Dundee bag snatch.
The 37-year-old victim was on a path between Drumlithie Place and Laird Street when the attempted theft was launched in the early hours of Monday.
She was approached from behind while walking between 1.30am and 2am and pulled to the ground as the suspect tried to steal her handbag.
He then kicked her before running away towards Drumlithie Place.
The victim didn’t require hospital treatment.
Police said the man was wearing a dark hooded top, jeans and a face covering.
Detective Constable Paul Hardie of Dundee CID said: “It happened in the early hours of the morning but if there was a man acting suspiciously around that time in the area, please let us know.”
