Vandals have smashed a window and ransacked a play area at a Dundee school.
Downfield Primary School was targeted over the weekend and the damage was reported to police on Monday.
Play equipment and benches in the Haldane Crescent school’s grounds were damaged and police say vandals also smashed a window.
Both Dundee City Council has reported the attack to the police.
A spokesman said: “There was damage to the nursery outside play area.
“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland.”
Police also echoed the appeal for information, saying: “Police Scotland is appealing for information after a window was smashed at school in Haldane Crescent in Dundee.
“Anyone who knows who is responsible should call 101.”
Callers are asked to quote incident number 0593 of September 21.
North East Conservative MSP Bill Bowman branded the vandalism “disgusting”.
“The vandalism and destruction which has been caused to the outdoor area at Downfield is absolutely disgusting,” he said.
“A lot of hard work goes into creating these fantastic spaces and it’s shocking that someone would do something like this.
“The children love these spaces, providing them with an area to both learn and play and for this to be taken away from them by mindless individuals is despicable.
“I hope the police can catch the culprits to help ensure these kinds of attacks don’t happen again.”
