Emergency services raced to Broughty Ferry this afternoon to deal with what has been described as a “small fire”.
A fire service spokeswoman said they received a call at 12.06pm to attend Brook Street after a “small fire in a premises” was spotted.
It is understood the fire occurred within a shop.
Two fire engines were sent from the Balmossie station. They are still in attendance.
The spokeswoman said there were no reports of any injuries.
Police also attended to assist with road closures.
A force spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 12.25 pm to assist fire service with road closures following a fire in a supermarket in Brook Street, Broughty Ferry.”
