A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with shoplifting at a Dundee budget supermarket.
Police were called to Lidl on Dura Street at around 6.15pm on Monday following an incident.
An eyewitness said she saw a police car parked outside the shop, with two officers escorting a man, who appeared to be agitated, into a back room.
Normal business resumed after the man was led away.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 28 -year- old man was charged with theft by shoplifting at a shop premises in Dura Street, Dundee on Monday, April 25.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
