A Broughty Ferry bar and restaurant has closed voluntarily after an individual who had been inside the venue tested positive for Covid-19.
Managers at Bruach, on Brook Street, have said the venue will be closed for at least two days as staff isolate and the premises are deep cleaned.
Bosses at the venue published a statement on social media on Sunday evening.
It read: “We have just received news of a positive Covid test and have taken the decision to close the business temporarily with immediate effect.
“The decision to close is our own and is out of an abundance of caution to protect staff, customers and other local businesses.
“The issue relates to Monday, September 28 and customers have been contacted where appropriate.”
It said all staff had been told to isolate and book tests.
“Deep cleaning services have been booked and will be carried out on Monday, October 5.
“We have contacted Test & Protect ourselves and not yet been given any advice from them on the best course of action.
“We are likely to be closed on both Monday 5 & Tuesday 6 and hope to safely and securely reopen as soon as possible.
“Please allow us some time as we navigate this situation. Our phone lines, emails and messages are inundated and we ask for some patience while we try to respond to all queries.”
