Trains in the Tayside area have been cancelled or re-routed after a person was been hit by a train this morning.
The incident happened on the Stirling-Perth line, around the Dunblane area just before 11.45am.
The condition of the person has not been officially confirmed, but a Scottish Ambulance spokesman explained that they were not transported to hospital.
Various trains between Aberdeen and Glasgow, Glasgow and Inverness, Glasgow and Dundee and Dunblane to Edinburgh have either been cancelled or had their route altered due to the incident.
A Scottish Ambulance spokesman said: “I can confirm that we received a call at 11.45am for a person struck by a train.
“An ambulance attended but nobody was transported to hospital.
“This is now a police incident.”
No one from Police Scotland was available for comment.
