Take That superfan Jill Campbell admits she will break down in tears if her musical idol Gary Barlow shows up at her 30th birthday bash.
Determined Jill has waged an online campaign to try and convince the Take That frontman to travel to the City of Discovery for her 30th party this weekend.
Jill and her friends and family have spent the past few months incessantly tweeting the singer after he announced that he would play intimate gigs for fans celebrating milestone birthdays.
Though her campaign has yet to come up trumps, Jill remains confident that the songwriter will show face.
She told The Courier: “I’m completely 50% in yes and 50% in no.
“Everyone is still thinking really positively and I’m not giving up hope yet.
“We’ll keep up the tweets, but I’ve not heard anything from Gary yet.”
Jill’s campaign got under way back in March when she recorded an online plea aimed at the star.
The video, recorded on her phone, features prominent Dundee landmarks and alters some of the words to the ’90s hit to include references to the city.
Jill explained: “I don’t think anyone knows how draining it has all been.
“I’ve loved it, but it’s been an emotional rollercoaster.
“If Gary walked in I would breakdown.
“I’ll be a nervous wreck on Saturday.”
