Dundee City Council has rejected calls from residents for a one-way system on a Broughty Ferry street.
Some Forthill Drive residents claim the narrow road is often busy and cars parked on both sides of it create access issues.
A spokesman for the council said there had been no accidents on the street in five years.
He added: “Restricting parking on one side of the carriageway would require a continuous double yellow line along one side over the length of this section of Forthill Drive.
“Not only would such a proposal be likely to be met with objections from some local residents, it would be complicated by the disabled bays.”
