Dundee Schools Music Theatre’s latest production is a Shakespeare adaptation that is literally out of this world.
The troupe’s S1 and S2 group is staging Return to the Forbidden Planet at the Gardyne Theatre on June 1 and 2.
The musical, inspired by the cult science fiction classic Forbidden Planet – which was itself inspired by William Shakespeare’s The Tempest – features a host of classic 1950s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll hits, including Shake, Rattle and Roll and Great Balls of Fire.
Tickets are available from the Dundee City Council Box Office in the City Square or online. They cost £8 for adults and £6 for concessions
The S1 and S2 group’s last production, 2015’s Beauty and the Beast, was a sell-out.
