Police rushed to Saggar Street in Pentland following “alarm” from the public over the incident, which happened at around 12.10pm. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The man was traced by specialist officers in Benvie Road a short time later and has been arrested. “Members of the public were alarmed by the incident but unhurt. “Inquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.” A video, understood to be of the incident, was uploaded to Facebook shortly after the drama with eyewitnesses reporting a large police presence. Anyone with information that could assist officers with their inquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
