Dundee’s signing of Dutch striker Yordi Teijsse has certainly captured the imagination of fans – not least because of his luxurious barnet.
The 23-year-old was sporting a shoulder-length perm when he posed alongside Dundee boss Paul Hartley at Dens Park on Monday.
One fan even claimed the striker, who scored 31 goals for his side Quick Boys last seen, looks like a missing member of pop group LMFAO.

But Yordi is not the first footballer in Dundee as noticeable for the fanciness of his hair as much as that of his footwork.
Reading’s Aaron Kuhl made only a handful of appearances for Dundee United when on loan from Reading and is really only remembered for his Sideshow Bob-style do.
Claudio Caniggia was a marquee signing for the Dark Blues but his stringy, long-hair and black headband was, while practical, never exactly fashionable.
It’s hard to believe now, but there was a time when Dundee were all about signing former international strikers with legendary hair. Who can forget former Juventus and Middlesbrough hitman Fabrizio Ravanelli turning up Dens Park? Not Clyde, that’s for sure.
Of course, the further back you go, the more ludicrous players’ hair can seem.
Former Dundee midfielder Albert Kidd delivered the 1985/86 title to Celtic with his two goals against Hearts in the final game of the season at Dens Park.
And as galling as it must have been to lose the title in such circumstances, having a man who looked liked the third Chuckle Brother twist the knife must have been even more painful.
And while Billy Thomson may have been a safe pair of hands in the United goal, those blonde highlights don’t look quite so clever now.
Of course, his former team-mate Iain Ferguson wasn’t a slouch in the hair department either.
