Dundee and Angus martial artists are preparing to compete in the world championships in Dublin.
Twenty-two children and adults will fly out as representatives of Kanzen Karate Scotland at the event in a few weeks.
It is the highlight of the international karate calendar, featuring 2,000 competitors and some of the martial art’s most recognised figures will be in attendance.
Kanzen Karate chief instructor, aensei Roy O’Kane, commented: “Our squad have worked very hard in preparing for this event. To represent your club and country is a huge honour and I’m sure they will give it their all and do Dundee and Angus proud.
“The team spirit in this squad is the best I’ve seen and we are ready to compete with the best in the world.”
Kanzen Karate is a Tayside-based organisation that offers classes in shotokan karate, the most widely-practiced style, for all ages.
