History buffs will soon be able to get their hands on a copy of a booklet written to commemorate 150 years of the YMCA in Broughty Ferry. Alistair Martin, 73, has spent more than six months researching and writing the 150th Anniversary of Broughty Ferry YMCA. The commemorative book will go on sale on June 10, to celebrate the exact anniversary the YMCA in Brook Street opened its doors in 1866. Mr Martin said: “It was a fascinating project to see how the role of the YMCA has changed over the years.” The book will have a print run of 2,000, and will be available for £3 in a number of shops.
