One of Shakespeare’s most loved comedies will open at the Dundee Rep on Thursday to mark the 400th anniversary of the playwright’s death.
Much Ado About Nothing will also mark the end of the Rep ensemble’s Love Season.
Ensemble member Irene Macdougall has taken on directing duties for the romantic comedy, which includes mistaken identity and a double wedding.
She said: “Whoever said falling in love was easy was patently just plain lucky.
“In Much Ado about Nothing, as two very different couples negotiate those treacherous waters, we come perilously close to catastrophe as feelings run high.”
The production will run at the theatre until Saturday June 25.
