A high-level inquiry into the professional conduct of the leader of Dundee City Council will take place today.
SNP administration chief Ken Guild faces a grilling by the Standards Commission for Scotland at a hearing in the City Chambers.
Mr Guild stands accused of using confidential information for political gain as he oversaw the controversial closure of the Young Mum’s Unit at Menzieshill High School.
The councillor has denied any wrongdoing and will defend himself during the hearing, which is expected to last for two days.
He could face tough penalties if found guilty of a deliberate breach of the Councillors’ Code of Conduct.
