A man has been detained by police after a disturbance in a Dundee flat.
The man, said to be in his 40s or 50s, was driven away from the Dens Road flat in a police car after a stand-off lasting around an hour and a half.
At around 9pm, at the height of the drama, there were around 10 police vehicles at the scene with officers stationed at the front and back of the building.
Locals reported the sound of hammering from inside and a man was later seen shouting from a first floor window.
One passer-by said: “I’ve no idea what’s going on but it’s a right rammy.”
By 10.30pm there were still five police vehicles stationed outside before the man was taken away.
A police spokesman said: “It’s a routine incident, just a small disturbance in a flat.
“It’s nothing for the public to be concerned about.”
