A man who was found in a Dundee street suffering from serious injuries has died in hospital.
Police say they are investigating the tragic death of Nigel Poustie, who was discovered in Charleston Drive close to the junction with Spey Drive at around 6.30pm on Monday evening.
The 49-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital but he lost his fight for life on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses described Mr Poustie falling over, on several occasions, prior to medical help being called for him.
He was alone at the time of the incident, but officers with Police Scotland now want to speak to anyone who may have seen or had contact with Mr Poustie at any time on Monday.
They are especially keen to trace anyone who may have seen Mr Poustie in Charleston Drive at around the time he was found.
Mr Poustie was described as being of medium build, and at the time of the incident he was wearing a dark jacket and black ‘tammy’ hat with a red band around it.
Family members of Mr Poustie have been made aware and, as with all sudden deaths, a report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal.
