Blustery conditions proved challenging for racers to overcome, but despite this, several personal best times were secured in both events. The full marathon, which started and finished in Camperdown Park, was won by David Henderson. The silver gong was secured by Martin Devine, of Portobello. Neil Badavi, of Carluke, finished in third. David Henderson from Dundee with his sons Angus, age 2, and Hamish age 5 in Camperdown Park Eighteen-year-old Harvey Rankin recorded a personal best to take gold in the half marathon. Harvey finished the race in just over an hour and a quarter and admitted he found the headwind tough to deal with. Second place was taken by John Redding, from Linlithgow, who enjoyed the race, but conceded he, too, struggled at times with the wind. Mike Herron completed the list of podium finishers, securing both a personal and event best time.
