The Broughty Ferry inshore lifeboat was launched on Tuesday afternoon after a dinghy suffered engine failure while out on the Tay. The lifeboat was launched just after 4pm after the dinghy’s engine cut out on the water by Broughty Ferry Castle. However, by the time the lifeboat arrived its occupants had managed to row safely to shore.
