Dundee City East MSP and Scottish Government health minister Shona Robison visited Dundee United Sports Club (DUSC) and Discovery Dance groups at Craigie Community Sports Centre to see the Fun and Food Programme.
The programme provides children, who usually receive free school meals during term time, with free meals during the school holidays.
The project received £76,000 from three organisations to provide the summer programme – £23,000 from Radio Tay Cash for Kids, £15,000 from the Northwood Trust, and matching finance of £38,000 from Dundee City Council.
