A man has suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run on Nethergate in Dundee.
It happened in the early hours of Wednesday at the junction with South Tay Street in the city centre.
Police say at about 2.50am a blue hatchback car struck a man in his 30s who was wearing a hooded top and shorts.
He sustained a serious leg injury, which police say is not life-threatening.
‘The driver did not stop at the scene’
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The car is only described as a blue hatchback, and is thought to have carried out a u-turn at the junction before heading off eastwards towards the traffic lights at the junction of Nethergate and Marketgait, then towards the Westport Roundabout.
“The driver not not stop at the scene of the collision.
“CCTV is being reviewed, however we would still like to hear from anyone who was in this area around the relevant time.”
