A 27-year-old man denies repeatedly striking another man with a car.
Marti Boi Stewart, of St Boswells Terrace, also denies attacking Kenneth Ramage with metal poles on St Kilda Road on January 6.
It is alleged that he drove a car at Mr Ramage causing him to fall, before allegedly striking him a second time with his car while he was on the ground to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment. A trial was fixed for February 3.
