It is alleged that he pushed the woman on to a bed at a property on Brownhill Street last Wednesday before striking her on the head to her injury. Martin allegedly shouted, swore and made derogatory remarks towards her during the same incident. Sheriff John Rafferty fixed a trial date of May 9 for the 36-year-old, with an intermediate diet on May 2. Martin was remanded in custody.
