Leroy Miller, 34, will stand trial at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of brandishing a machete at a child and robbing the youngster of a phone.
While acting with others, Miller allegedly forced entry to a property on Craigmore Street on August 12 last year with his face partially masked and brandished a machete, knife and hammer and acted aggressively.
He allegedly presented a machete to the top of a child’s neck before stealing a phone.
Miller, a prisoner at Perth, also denies pushing a woman and causing her to fall before brandishing the same weapons at her and trying to rob her of a phone.
After Miller maintained a plea of not guilty, Sheriff Alastair Brown fixed a trial for March 13.
