A man has admitted assaulting his former partner during a fight that started in a moving car just hours after he appeared in court on other matters.
Liam Rodgers, 28, of Grieves Cottage, Longforgan, pleaded guilty at Dundee Sheriff Court to assaulting Mhairi Baird and to driving dangerously on Tuesday.
He pleaded not guilty to two other charges, which was accepted by the court.
Rodgers and Ms Baird exchanged blows inside the car on South Road before the fight spilled out on to the street, the court heard.
Rodgers then got into the driver’s seat and drove dangerously along nearby Buttars Loan.
Solicitor Gary McIlravey said Ms Baird “gave as good as she got”.
Rodgers was bailed by Sheriff Lorna Drummond on condition he remains at home between 7pm-7am. The sheriff also disqualified him from driving meantime.
He will be sentenced on March 5.
