A man has appeared in court charged with a series of rapes and child sex attacks.
Frank Mayne, 54, is accused of abusing two children at various addresses in Dundee between 2001 and 2012.
He faces nine charges and appeared on petition in private at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Mayne is charged with repeatedly striking a child with a belt at an address in the city between January 2000 and October 2004.
He allegedly struck a second child with a belt repeatedly between October 2000 and October 2003.
Prosecutors allege he repeatedly used lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards one of the children between January 2001 and October 2010 at addresses across the city.
Mayne, of Jericho House, Artillery Lane, allegedly performed sex acts on the child as well as inducing them to watch pornographic material.
It is alleged he used similar lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards the second child between January 2001 and October 2007 as well as recording the child during sexual activity.
Mayne is charged with raping the first child on several occasions between October 2003 and October 2007 at an address in Dundee.
Between October 2008 and November 2010, he allegedly raped the second child on several occasions at an address in Dundee.
The same child was allegedly raped on several occasions between December 2010 and October 2012.
Mayne appeared at a short, private hearing in front of Sheriff Tom Hughes.
No plea or declaration was made on his behalf and his case was continued for further examination.
There was no motion for bail and Mayne was remanded in custody meantime.
