Charges have been dropped against a man accused of assaulting his partner.
Daniel Blair, of Provost Road, was due to stand trial over an allegation that he assaulted Charley Lawson by repeatedly punching her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground, and sitting on her, all to her injury, at Yeaman’s Lane on September 29 last year.
But the case was deserted on the day the 25-year-old’s trial was due to start.
