A man left with “nowhere to go” abused his ex-partner after she refused to let him into her home.
David Adam struck doors and windows after being denied access to Pauline Mitchell’s property on Salton Crescent on Thursday.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard the pair had recently ended their “volatile” relationship.
At around 8.15pm that night, Ms Mitchell heard Adam, 47, knocking at the door. He refused to leave after she answered, saying: “You’ll no’ be phoning the ******* police.”
Adam left after being told by Ms Mitchell to wait at the shed while she waited for her granddaughter to be collected by her daughter. The court heard Ms Mitchell only said that to get rid of Adam.
He returned to the property and started kicking the door and striking windows.
Adam admitted attending uninvited, refusing to leave, preventing Pauline Mitchell from closing the door, shouting, swearing, striking doors and windows and acting in an aggressive manner.
Solicitor David Duncan said: “At that time he had nowhere else to go.
“It was getting late into a cold January evening, he had been sitting in the shed for a period of time and he had £1.70 to his name.
“He accepts his conduct was not acceptable but this arose out of desperation.”
Sheriff John Rafferty deferred sentence until February 15 for reports. He was remanded in custody.
