Dundee man convicted of using mobile phone while driving van

A Dundee man was fined £200 and given six penalty points.

Alexander Whyte, 28, of Newton Road, admitted that he drove a van while using a mobile phone at East Dock Street on September 22 last year.

Meanwhile, Paul McCutcheon, 35, of Lamley Terrace, Arbroath, was fined £130 and given three penalty points.

McCutcheon admitted driving a car at 60mph in a 40mph zone on the A92 Dundee to Arbroath road on December 4 last year.
