A sheriff has been charged after police launched an investigation into sexual misconduct claims made against him.
Sheriff Jack Brown, who sits in Aberdeen but is originally from Dundee, is at the centre of a criminal probe following allegations about his behaviour.
He still lives in Dundee.
Last week, the judiciary confirmed the sheriff has been suspended while the police investigation is carried out.
It is understood allegations have been made against him by a Crown Office employee.
And it is also believed the claims were reported to the police by one of the employee’s managers.
The allegations about the sheriff first emerged in November.
A tribunal, headed up by Lord Bracadale, is also being held to look into the case.
