A man is to stand trial on allegations he sent indecent images to a woman he believed to be an underage girl.
Jon Duffy, of Pitkerro Court, denies sending messages to the individual between September and October last year.
He is alleged to have engaged in sexual activity with or towards a woman pretending to be a 14-year-old girl.
Duffy denies that he repeatedly sent images and messages of a sexual nature and messages repeatedly asking the child to expose themselves and carry out a sexual act.
The 21-year-old is also alleged to have exposed himself and touched himself in pictures and videos sent to the woman.
He further denies that he contacted support workers working at Pitkerro Court and shouted, swore and repeatedly made violent threats on December 27 last year.
Duffy pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Sheriff Gregor Murray at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Duffy’s case had previously been continued without plea in order for psychiatric assessments to be undertaken in order to ascertain his fitness to participate in court proceedings.
Solicitor Jim Caird said they had now been completed, allowing Duffy’s case to proceed to trial.
Sheriff Murray fixed the trial date for April 16.
An intermediate diet was also fixed for March 26.
