Four people were due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today in connection with an incident on Saturday involving a “large knife”.
Police were called to Byron Street after reports that someone was seen brandishing a knife.
It is understood that the blade was recovered by police and that no one was injured in the incident.
A spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that three men aged 25, 27 and 40, and a 41-year-old woman, have all been arrested in connection with an incident in Byron Street, Dundee, around 4.30pm on Saturday.
“All were kept in custody and appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court today.”
Charges relate to disorder, threatening behaviour and driving offences.
A witness said: “About five police cars arrived in Byron Street after someone was seen with what looked like a machete or a large knife.”
