A man was placed under supervision for six months.
Mark McKay, 49, of Hazelhead Terrace admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Carnegie Street on September 8.
He admitted shouting at his former partner and seizing a telephone headset from her while she was calling the emergency services, then throwing it away.
McKay also admitted approaching and contacting her, in breach of bail conditions, at the same location two days later.
