James Kerr, of Grampian Gardens, pleaded guilty to having the Class A drug on Sandeman Street on October 25. The court heard that the 34-year-old was found with 0.5g of the drug, which was valued at £10, after being searched. Police officers on patrol had noted Kerr attempting to place something down his trousers. Solicitor George Donnelly said it was the first time that Kerr had purchased the drug. Mr Donnelly said that his client intended to use it to take his mind off matters from another case. Kerr was fined £120. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website.
