A chronic alcoholic who attacked his partner during an ill-fated camping trip had sentence further deferred.
Robert Jack, 55, previously admitted assaulting Audrey Jorgensen on two separate occasions as well as acting in an aggressive manner in Balunie Avenue on November 6.
The Dundee man pleaded guilty to punching her on the head and pulling her by the hair at Broughty Castle on July 26.
A drunken Jack launched his attack in a tent after making disrespectful remarks about Ms Jorgensen’s daughter.
Solicitor Mike Short previously told the court Jack, who appeared from custody, is frequently taken advantage of by those around him and receives respite while he is behind bars. Before bailing Jack, Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence until January 11 in order for Jack to apply for secured accommodation.
