A bike, jewellery and more than £500 in cash were among the items stolen from a house by a serial thief.
Peter Donnet, of Bowbridge Place, was sentenced to three years supervision after stealing from the property on Castle Road, Longforgan, on September 21 last year.
The 45-year-old admitted breaking into the house and also stealing a quantity of foreign money and electrical items.
Solicitor Jane Caird told Dundee Sheriff Court that Donnet had been making “positive changes” to his life and would benefit from a drug treatment order.
Sheriff Alastair Brown said: “If you can do what’s necessary to stop you offending then that’s better for everybody.”
