Hazel Reid, 69, of Kirkton of Balgonie, Newport-on-Tay, was fined £100 and issued with three penalty points.
Reid admitted that while driving on August 10, at the pelican crossing, High Street, Newport, she stopped her vehicle within the crossing while she was neither prevented from proceeding by circumstances beyond her control nor found it necessary to stop to avoid injury or damage to people or property.
