A woman caught with heroin on a city street has been given a chance to behave herself.
Gillian Foy, 41, admitted being in possession of the Class A drug on Strathmartine Road on August 22.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard that Foy “walked into” a police operation in the street after being asked to buy the drug for someone else.
Appearing from custody, Foy, who lives on Strathmartine Road, was found to have 0.5g of heroin – worth £20 – in her possession. Solicitor Jim Laverty said the mum-of-three had not come to the court’s attention since 2011.
He said Foy’s latest conviction would have an impact on her family but she had been making good progress in recent years.
Sentence was deferred on Foy until April 29 for her to be of good behaviour.
