Dean Rashe, 28, of Forth Crescent, had sentence deferred until November 12.
Rashe admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by damaging a rear view mirror while travelling in a car with his former partner Claire Lyons at Pitkerro Road on Friday.
The court heard Ms Lyons had previously been in a relationship with Rashe but ended it shortly before the offence.
He “did not take the news well” and punched the interior car mirror.
