A Dundee man has admitted stealing property and a car from a local home and driving it off – despite being over the drink-drive limit.
Lee McKay, 30, of Balunie Drive, had sentence deferred until November 14.
McKay admitted stealing a wallet containing £100, a watch, laptop bag, umbrella, driving licence, car keys, quantity of Christmas cards, a purse containing £20, credit card, two bank cards, another driving licence and an ID card, from a property on Addison Place, Arbroath, on December 9 last year.
And he admitted stealing a car from the same location.
McKay further admitted driving a car while more than three times the legal alcohol limit, with a reading of 71 mics in 100ml of breath, at Addison Place and on the A933 from Brechin to Arbroath, on the same date.
