A Dundee man seen throwing a package from the window of his flat had cocaine with a street value of £420,000.
Lloyd Cox (34), was yesterday jailed for six years and five months at Glasgow High Court after pleading guilty to being involved in the distribution of illegal drugs.
Cox was originally arrested following a search of his home address in Dundee, where he was seen to throw a package from his flat window.
The package was recovered on the street by officers and found to contain 1 kilo of high purity cocaine, with a street value of £420,000.
Detective Inspector Stewart Forsyth said: “Police Scotland welcomes the sentencing of Lloyd Cox.
“This significant recovery of controlled drugs and subsequent conviction sends a strong message to those who deal drugs in our communities.
“Tackling all forms of serious and organised crime, including those who supply controlled drugs, is a priority for Police Scotland and we will continue to target those individuals who are involved in this illicit trade.
“Anyone who has information that could assist Police Scotland in taking another drug dealer off of our streets should call us on 101.
