Charley Skelligan, of Bonnybank Road, attacked Emma Tennant – then six weeks pregnant – in Kilbride Place on July 3 last year. She punched her on the head before seizing her by the hair, pulling her to the ground and kneeling on her stomach. Skelligan was found guilty after trial and appeared for a deferred sentence before Sheriff Lorna Drummond. Despite pleas from solicitor Gary McIlravey to provide her with supervision, Skelligan was ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work.
